お正月の日本語 (Click here for English version) 中国や韓国では旧暦でお正月を祝うのに対して（日本では旧正月と呼ばれます）日本では新暦（現在のカレンダー）でお祝いをします。日本ではお正月がクリスマスよりも大切な行事となり年末から1月1日〜３日までの３日間（三ヶ日さんがにち）にかけて一週間ほどは会社や公共機関などはお休みになることが多いです。 お正月の過ごし方 （年末編） 昔は、１月１日から３日までは、どこもお店が開いていないので、年末からお正月休みにかけての過ごし方はだいたいみんな同じでした。代表的なものを見てみましょう。 大掃除 日本では大掃除といえば年末。新しい年を迎える準備のために家中をきれいにします。 おせち料理の準備 おせち料理とはお正月を祝うために食べる特別な料理のこと。地方によって様々な種類のものがあります。もともとうちで２日３日かけて作っていましたが、最近はできたものを買う人も多いようです。 おおみそか（12月31日） おおみそかには、年越しそばを食べる習慣があります。この習慣は江戸時代に始まったもので、長細いことから長寿を祈る、そばは切れやすいことから昨年の悪い縁を断ち切るという意味があると言われています。 また大晦日はNHKの紅白歌合戦という長年続いている歌番組があります。赤組（紅）—女性歌手、白組—男性歌手にわかれて勝負を行います。 除夜の鐘 日本の仏教のお寺では、おおみそかの午後11:45分ごろになると、ゴーン、ゴーンと鐘がならされます。ならす回数は一般的に108回といわれ、108の煩悩を取り除く意味でならされると言われています。テレビ中継などもありますが、近くにお寺がある方は耳をすませてみてくださいね。 お正月の過ごし方 （年始編） 元旦（1月1日） 朝は家族にみんなでお雑煮（もちのスープ）や年末に作っておいたおせち料理を食べます。年末までに投函された年賀状は元旦にそれぞれのおうちのポストにどさっと投函されます。（年末年始は郵便局の一番忙しい時期です！） 初詣 初詣とはお正月の間に神社やお寺に一年間の無事と平安を願ってお参りをすることです。地元のお寺や神社でも初詣をするたくさんの人の姿が見られますが、大きな神社お寺ではたくさんの人が訪れものすごい人でとなります。明治神宮、川崎大師、成田山、浅草の浅草寺などが有名でそれぞれ250万〜300万人を超える人が訪れたそうです。 福袋 福袋とはお店がいろいろな商品を紙袋に入れて、1万円、10万円などそれぞれの価格をつけてうります。実際に袋の中の商品の合計額は福袋の価格の２倍やそれ以上のものが入っていることも多く、そのお得さを求めて新年はいろいろなお店やデパートにお客さんが集まります。確かにお得ですが、中に入っているものが見えないので「はずれ」と感じることもあります^^; ちなみにお正月に特に外出をせず、家でずっと過ごして、食べたり、テレビばかり見ることを、寝正月と言います。 みなさんはどんなお正月を過ごされますか？ 是非日本ならではのお正月の雰囲気を楽しんでくださいね！ さて、Cotoの新年のコースは1月5日（月）からスタートです。 新年こそ日本語の上達に取り組みたいみなさん、是非お問い合わせをお待ちしています！ Coto Academy is a unique Japanese Language School in Iidabashi Tokyo, we offer relaxed and fun conversational lessons for all levels of Japanese learner.
