I think Iidabashi Japanese School is different in the way they treat students

Paola Andrea Martinez / Columbia/ Nihongo Plus, Private lessons

Gracias!!

English translation

My experience with Iidabashi Japanese Language school has been very good since, in addition to learning the grammar necessary to communicate, I could also practice with the Nihongo plus Fun program.

I recently arrived in Japan and the change in culture and life in general was radical, and I didn’t like many things about it. When I joined my first Japanese class (I won’t identify them out of respect), the classes were good, but they were not enough. I didn’t feel good about them, since the classes were in groups of 15 people and we didn’t cover enough ground with four hours of study a day. I also felt more like a high school student.

I think Iidabashi Japanese School is different in the way they treat students. Here I’ve felt that the teachers understand that we are foreigners with a different culture and that we need to learn not just Japanese but also the Japanese way of life step by step. The teachers take interest and are devoted to our advancement in the language and also to creating a bond of friendship with the students.

Here I take six hours of private grammar classes a week and they are enough to help my communication skills. In the other school, I had 20 hours a week and didn’t really advance much.

Even my mother has been interested in participating in the activities you have organized, since I often tell her about the school.

When I could read my first e-mail in Japanese, I felt happy, and a little while ago I was able to understand my husband’s cousins. I understood little, but I still understood some.

I hope to continue advancing with you at my side. Thank you!
