Speaking Practice Course: New Online Group Course from September ★

What is the【Speaking Practice Course 🗣️】?

~ Introducing the course and its reviews ~

As its name suggests, the【Speaking Practice Course】is a course where students can converse freely with their classmates to practice speaking in Japanese!

★ Each lesson is 50 minutes, and since each class is stand-alone, you can reserve one lesson anytime! ★ (SAVE NOW! 1 Lesson for 1 Point until December ⭐️)

The following is a rough idea of what each lesson looks like:

  1. Greetings and self-introductions with the members of the class
  2. Discussion to choose the topic of the lesson
  3. Confirmation of keywords and expressions related to the chosen topic as a class to build up an image of what we will be talking about
  4. Time to start chatting!
  5. If there are more than 4 people in the group, we will try talking in pairs, and change the pairs as we go along

☝️The important thing here is to keep chatting and having fun, so it’s totally alright to go off-topic 😊

Here are some of the topics we have covered so far:

  • Japanese food
  • Music taste
  • Games
  • Movies
  • Current obsessions
  • Travel destinations
  • Money spending
  • etc…

We have a variety of topics prepared for each lesson, so you can try joining the class if the topic interests you!

Here is some pictures that show what the course looks like!

What Do First-time Students Think About This Class?

Ms. V, American Woman

“It was fun since there were students from various countries and levels! The conversation topic for this lesson was “Interesting applications,” which was a bit difficult. It was especially difficult to explain the functions of the application when working in pairs, but Yoko-sensei taught us the appropriate vocabulary, and it was great practice. It was a lot of fun, and I definitely want to participate again 😊”

Ms. V has been taking private lessons at Coto Online for 2 years and has already passed the JLPT N3 exam 🙌

Her reason for joining the Speaking Practice Course was that although she has a good understanding of grammar, it is still challenging to mix the various grammar rules within a conversation.

Just like in the case of Ms. V, it is very important for students to actually apply the grammar and vocabulary they have learned in real-life conversations! This class is an opportunity for skill output through practicing conversation skills while still having fun, so it will surely be a good practice for students. ♪

Ms. A, American woman

“It’s hard to speak only in Japanese, but every lesson is a good practice for me. It is very useful because I can learn new expressions and words. I enjoy the variety of topics each time, especially the topics about Japanese food, current obsessions, and movies 😊.”

Ms. A is currently a regular student in NF1, and on weekdays when she is off work, she checks the Speaking Practice Course schedule and makes an additional one-time reservation for this course.

We recommend this class for those who want to make more friends online, as it is a great way to meet new classmates and get to know each other through chatting!

A total of 7 Speaking Practice classes are currently being offered!

Many different instructors and students are participating, so check the schedule and topics for a lesson that interests your and try joining a lesson!
