February 2022 Intensive Course for True Beginners
Learning Japanese from ground zero may seem like a huge leap and a big effort, but that doesn’t mean it should be hard and boring. In fact, we can support you in your first steps.
Our Intensive Course for True Beginners is designed for someone who has never learned Japanese yet. This includes individuals who have never been introduced to two basic Japanese characters: katakana and hiragana. You will learn common expressions that you can use immediately in your daily life. By the end of this course, you will be able to hold short conversations in Japanese in limited situations.
What will I learn in the Japanese beginner crash course?
The goal of this course is to provide motivated learners with the correct foundation and structure of the Japanese language. We want students to build enough vocabulary for everyday life in Japan and gain the confidence to speak Japanese, even if they are total beginners.
You will learn how to do self-introductions, make inquiries and orders in a restaurant or shop and learn how to carry a conversation. You’ll be able to ask for directions in the street or train station and make basic talks and opinions about Japan.
Speak for everyday situations, speak with clear, correct pronunciation, acquire a general idea of the structure of the Japanese language and build a vocabulary for everyday life. Materials will focus on daily routine activities in Japan, allowing you to enjoy your lives in Japan as a resident.
Our textbooks and materials include both English translations and romaji (alphabetized Japanese characters). By the end of this course, you will master the hiragana and katakana letters. This enables you to write and read Japanese words.
Class Structure
The teaching method for this course focuses on learning key Japanese phrases and simple words with no explicit emphasis on grammar explanations. You will learn two to three key phrases per chapter of our materials through immersive usage.
Intensive Course Details
This will be a four-week crash course for absolute beginners in the Japanese language. Classes will be held at our Japanese language school in Iidabashi, Tokyo.
Date: February 7 – March 4
Time: Monday to Friday | 9:30-12:20 including national holidays
