Japan Train Travel Deal: JR Tokyo Wide Pass
As the name implies, this is a JR rail pass for the Tokyo area.
This pass is especially a great option for a 3 day weekend or holiday period – or any time block where you want to take day trips across Tokyo! There are so many places to explore in Toyko – which is why this pass is great for covering a lot of ground with a minimal amount of money!
This pass extends to the areas and rails indicated in the image below.
Even better, you can purchase this pass directly online, so you don’t have to wait in line at the JR ticket stand!*
Please note: Only the adult’s pass is available for purchase online through WAmazing. To purchase children’s passes, please to go to the ticket counter.
After purchasing online, pick your rail passes up from the JR East Travel Service Center in the Ueno JR Station. These are pick-up machine kiosks where you can receive your rail passes. Please bring your passport with you for pickup! (Japanese passports are not allowed)

Japan Train Travel Deal – Kansai Wide Area Excursion Pass
Kansai Wide Area Excursion Pass.
As the name implies, this is a JR rail pass for the Kansai Area – Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Wakayama, Tsuruga, Takamatsu, Okayama and more!
The Kansai WIDE Area Excursion Pass is a rail pass issued by JR WEST available for a limited period of time. Anyone holding a non-Japanese passport is eligible. Enjoy unlimited train rides for three days within the valid area, and see the sights of Western Japan, including Okayama, Takamatsu, Kinosaki Onsen, Amanohashidate, Tottori, Kishi, Shirahama, Kii-Katsuura, and more.
