Special Cooking Class〜 Nigiri-Sushi

特別料理クラス にぎりずし

Would you like to try making Nigiri Sushi?

This lesson will be held at a restaurant in Ginza, where a professional sushi chef will teach participants how to make “Nigiri Sushi.” Sushi can be a rather hard dish to make casually at home – so how about learning how to make authentic sushi under the guidance of a professional? You’ll even get a certificate after everything too!

Lunch Tour in Kagurazaka　ランチツアーin神楽坂

Each month, there are lunch tours to places in immediate walking distance from Coto. In March, we will visit the old restaurant Torijaya, famed for its “udonsuki.”This tour’s feature will be hot pot with udon as centerpiece. The pot will be brimming with chicken, vegetables, and shrimp. Everyone can share this dish. The sharing of hot pot itself is an element of Japanese culture. Let’s experience it together!

Calligraphy Class　書道クラス

Experience the traditions of Japan and participate to our calligraphy class!

Every month Coto Japanese Academy hold a calligraphy class. Learn the basics of calligraphy along with the artistic way of writing kanji, you will practice three characters. The instructor, Wakana Shingae, is a professional calligrapher. Booking at the reception (3F)

Perpera Active Learning Night

Have you heard of the Japanese word “Perapera” ? It is used to describe someone who speaks a language very well! Coto’s Pera Pera Party is the perfect time for you to have a go at conversation in Japanese.

Get the chance to practice your speaking with 20 Japanese native speakers and to chat about many topics in Japanese. During English speaking time… it will be your turn to be a teacher!

Let’s enjoy the beginning of Spring together and have fun in Kitanomaru park, one of the most beautiful parks in Tokyo! Bring your own food and drinks to share a snack with Coto staff and students under the cherry blossoms. Games will be organized to even practice Japanese! Join us!
