Many of our students have asked us about how to take Japanese lessons with our Online lesson system.
We wanted to share this blog as a way to answer some of the most common questions that we get asked.
Frequently asked questions about taking Japanese lessons online
Q: What software do you use? Skype, Google Hangouts, Zoom meetings?
A: Right now we are using Zoom meetings to conduct online lessons due to COVID-19 and when things hopefully get back to normal we will be able to introduce a more comprehensive virtual classroom with a digitial whiteboard.
Q: Are online Japanese lessons the same as in-person lessons?
A: Largely, yes. The course materials are the same as used as in-person Japanese lessons at our school. Our Coto Online Japanese Lessons are normally 1-1, which means that you will be receiving the same personalized attention as an in-person private lesson.
Q: How can I have a weekly lesson – scheduled at the same time?
A: Fill out our regular lesson request form by logging in to your account and clicking the button on the reservation page.
Q: What materials do you use to teach your online Japanese courses?
A: We use a combination of in-house developed learning materials as well as popular textbooks – depending on your level. You can preview our course materials by signing up for a free account at https://online.cotoacademy.com/signup/
