Curry rice (カレーライス, karē raisu) is a very popular dish in Japan. The recipe we will be introducing today is the most basic way to make curry yet the most delicious way to cook. Ingredients (材料) for a Japanese Curry Rice
This will serve approximately six people.
- 190 grams of pork belly block
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 115 grams of curry roux
- 1 potato
- 830 militer of Water
- An appropriate amount of cooking oil
Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Peel the potatoes and remove the sprouts. Peel the other vegetables and set aside.
2. Cut the meat and vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the meat.
4. Next, add the vegetables and then fry until the onions are transparent.
5. Add water and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
6. Add the curry roux and simmer for 10 minutes, letting it dissolve completely.
7. Serve and enjoy!
