Kiyoko Ikura

After studying and being exposed to different cultures in university - she gained customer service experience.  Working as a dental assistant - and a salesperson at a tea specialty store.

From 2006, she has been working as a Japanese teacher at a vocational school.

In 2015, she obtained an ACTFL-OPI tester certification (Oral Proficiency Interviewer). Her parents are calligraphy instructors and she holds a calligraphy instructor’s license.

In addition to teaching Japanese language, she has also been involved in acting clubs from when she was in Junior high up until her time in university

 

"I love talking to people, so i'm very happy to be able to meet with students on a daily basis. If students can use Japanese to talk with others - it becomes much more enjoyable to learn.  I teach Japanese with the mindset that the classroom is a place to communicate with others. It also makes life more fun!"
