Naoto Sugawara majored in Educational Psychology in university and took an MBA at Claremont University in the United States. .
According to him, "Knowing other languages allows you to talk and listen to more people, and you will be able to access more information. However, I know that are not your ultimate goal. Your goal might be to find a better job, watch Japanese anime, get along with your Japanese partner or enter college."
This is why Sugawara-sensei puts great importance in your own goal. Without it, you'll loose the motivation to study Japanese. He adds, " As long as you know your goal and stick to it, you will enjoy memorizing thousands of kanji and reading complicated Japanese articles."
